Hi my name is Johansen Peralta, I am a graphic designer, welcome to my portfolio. The purpose of this portfolio is to share some of my graphic work, design ideas and some projects that are still a work in progress (WIP). I grew up In Brooklyn, New York where I still live and Attended Baruch College in Manhattan where my major was graphic design and communications. My start with art and design came while growing up. It began with doodling, drawing small cartoon like creatures on paper. When my brother and I got our own computer to share it developed into trying to take what was on paper and and displaying it on the screen. At the time it was in MS paint and through out the years the software that was use kept evolving until landing on Adobe Illustrator.

I graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelors in Art. Most of the courses dealing with graphic design at my school were typography based, from the history of type, print production to branding. InDesign became second nature as it was the software that I had to use for most of the tasks from the courses, and using Photoshop and Illustrator to create content to transfer over to InDesign became essential. From creating page layouts, thinking about color combinations and implementing design choices having the knowledge of those three softwares made things so much easier.
